You can now ask Amazon’s voice assistant, Alexa to play anything from your Apple Music account on your Sonos smart speakers.

The long-awaited update is now available to all Apple Music users in the UK, US and Ireland who own an Alexa-enabled device, whether that’s a Sonos Beam, Sonos One or Amazon Echo.

It works with all of your existing playlists, favourite albums, artists, tracks and so on, so this extra method of control will please the millions of current Apple Music users on Sonos.

Apple Music now joins Spotify, Amazon Music, TuneIn Radio and Deezer adding to the growing list of music streaming services, supported by Alexa.

It’s great to hear that Sonos are continuing to collaborate with third party services to offer the user the most flexible and versatile experience.
