For hygiene reasons we cannot accept the return of in-ear headphones that have been opened with the seal broken.

Looking to increase the volume and impact of your TV audio? The Sonos Ray soundbar is the perfect solution for a smaller or secondary room, or even just to bring out the vocal performance on your television. You won’t get the full Dolby Atmos performance of the Sonos Beam Gen 2 or Arc, but the Sonos Ray is capable of handling Dolby Digital surround sound, with the vocal, mid and bass performance split between Ray’s two tweeters and two mid-woofer drivers.
Through a simple optical connection to your TV (cable supplied in box), your Sonos Ray will expertly handle both standard stereo and Dolby Digital audio.

Wireless Streaming
Like other Sonos products before it, the Sonos Ray can be used for wireless music streaming as well as for your TV audio. Using the Sonos App, you’ll be able to access your favourite streaming services, digital radio stations, podcasts and more by just linking your service account.
The Sonos Ray doesn’t have voice assistant inbuilt, but you are able to use an Amazon or Google voice-assistant product to control the Sonos Ray if you have one in the same room. Sonos is compatible with a wider Alexa or Google Assistant ecosystem in the home.

Use with a Sub and Surrounds
If you’d like to build a surround sound system over time, you’ll be pleased to know that the Sonos Ray can be added to over time with a Sonos Sub and/ or pair of surround rears (e.g. Sonos One SLs).
Thanks to the Sonos Ray’s dual tweeter and midwoofer set up, you’ll be able to achieve a great Dolby Digital Surround Sound set up from this system. The Ray Sub and/or rears is a great option to elevate your home movie system, particularly if you have a smaller room or TV set.

Taking an understated approach, the Sonos Ray has a sleek polycarbonate grille and hardened plastic perimeter to protect the internal components. Much like other soundbars in the range, the Sonos Ray has a range of touch controls on top allowing you to skip/repeat, play/pause and adjust the volume. Both the Optical connection point, power cable and optional ethernet connection are located on the back of the speaker and hidden from view when installed.
The Sonos Ray uses only front-firing speaker drivers, meaning that unlike the Beam and Arc this can be fully recessed into a media unit or shelf without impeding any side or upward-firing drivers. This makes it the perfect solution for a smaller room, as the Ray can be tucked out of the way without taking away anything from the soundbar’s performance.

Q. What happens when I try to play Dolby Atmos sound through the Sonos Ray? A. If you’re streaming Dolby Atmos content, the Ray will automatically downgrade this content to either Dolby Digital or standard PCM.
Q. Why does the Sonos Ray use an Optical connection? A. As the Ray is capable of reproducing Dolby Digital surround sound only, there is no need for an HDMI Arc or eArc connection for this product. Optical connection is capable of passing through Dolby Digital content to the Sonos Ray without problem.
Q. How do I wall mount the Sonos Ray? A. The Sonos Ray has hardware on the back making it possible to attach a wall bracket for wall mounting.

Our Extended Christmas Returns
We've extended our normal returns for the festive season. Any gifts bought between 27th October 2023 and 22nd January 2024 can be returned up until 31st January 2024.
How does the returns policy work?
If a gift is unwanted, customers must contact Smart Home Sounds by the 31st January 2023 via phone, email or live chat. Our team will assist you in the returns process.
Items must be fully unopened and sealed. Return postage will be at the cost of the customer.
If the unwanted item is opened, this will revert to our regular 30 days returns policy.
Faulty items will follow our standard returns procedure.
