Perfect for External Audio Sources
Line-in Connectivity
Era 100 also features a line-in port so you can connect an external audio source like a turntable or CD player with an aux cable and Sonos line-in adapter (sold separately). Once connected, you can then stream to any other Sonos speakers on your WiFi network.
Alternatively, the line-in can be used to connect the speaker to your router with an ethernet cable and Sonos combo adapter.

Now with WiFi 6, enjoy high-quality audio streaming (including lossless) with no worry of interruptions. For added versatility, Sonos have added Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity so anyone can stream audio without needing to be on your WiFi network.
Alternative methods of connectivity include AirPlay 2 for Apple users and the Sonos S2 app. The app enables you to group different Sonos zones in your home, adjust EQ settings and stream from a large selection of services including Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music & Sonos Radio.

Can you use the Sonos S1 Controller with Era 100?
Era 100 requires the latest generation of the Sonos app (Sonos S2).
Can you use Bluetooth as soon as you plug in the speaker?
No, you must set up Era 100 on WiFi via the Sonos app before you can pair a Bluetooth device. If you use a pair as rear speakers for home cinema surround sound, Bluetooth will be disabled.
Can you use Bluetooth with a stereo pair?
Yes, you can stream audio via Bluetooth to a stereo pair.
Can you group speakers while using Bluetooth?
Yes. Like with the Sonos Roam and Move, you can group Era 100 with other products in your Sonos system via WiFi, even when playing content from a Bluetooth source?
How do you use line in with Era 100?
You will need to purchase a Sonos Line-In Adapter and a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to connect an audio device.
Can you use a third-party adapter for line in?
No. It’s recommended to use the Sonos Line-In Adapter for a reliable connection. The majority of USB-C to 3.5mm adapters on the market currently are intended for line out (headphones) and don’t support line in.
Can you connect Era 100 to your TV?
The line-in connection is not designed to work with a TV and you would therefore experience latency and/or lip sync issues while the audio is converted from analog to digital. You can connect a pair of Era 100 speakers to a Sonos soundbar to be used as the rear surround sounds.
Is there an ethernet port on the Era 100?
There is no ethernet port on the Era 100. To hardwire your speaker, you can use the Sonos Combo Adapter, which features both an ethernet port and 3.5mm line input. These connections require an ethernet cable and aux cable.
