Dolby Atmos Smart Speaker
Sonos Era 300
Experience truly immersive audio with sound from every direction, putting you at the heart of the entertainment. The Era 300 is Sonos’ all-new bookshelf speaker, supporting Dolby Atmos and bringing you the thrill of spatial audio technology from a single unit.
3D Spatial Audio
Truly Immersive Sound
As the first of its kind, the Era 300 delivers a truly immersive, spacious stereo performance supporting spatial audio and Dolby Atmos.
Custom waveguides work to disperse audio all around to put you at the centre of the performance with no sweet spot.
Six optimally positioned drivers project sound all around, from wall to wall and floor to ceiling.
Packs a Punch
Unique Acoustic Architecture
Four tweeters deliver accurate playback of high and mid-range frequencies. The forward-facing mid tweeter projects vocals forward to deliver a performance that feels like you’re watching the artist live.
A pair of powerful mid-high tweeters project the sound to the far left and right of the room for a wider soundstage while two high-performance woofers bring impactful bass and a further sense of spaciousness.
The upward-firing tweeter, angled around 10%, adds height to spatial audio content and reflects sound off the ceiling for a more dynamic experience. Loaded into a directional horn to enhance efficiency, phase lenses take the dispersion of high frequencies further, enabling the Era 300 to play louder, using less power.
The Final Verdict

For added versatility, Sonos have added Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity so anyone can stream audio without needing to be on your WiFi network. The speaker must be set up over WiFi before using Bluetooth.
Alternative methods of connectivity include AirPlay 2 for Apple users and the Sonos S2 app. The app enables you to group different Sonos zones in your home, adjust EQ settings and stream from a large selection of services including Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music & Sonos Radio.

Sonos Era 300 FAQS
Can you use the Sonos S1 Controller with Era 300?
Era 300 requires the latest generation of the Sonos app (Sonos S2).
Where should you place Sonos Era 300?
The optimal placement for best sound quality is indoors with around 2 feet of overhead clearance. We don’t recommend placing Era 300 in an enclosed space like a bookshelf as it could impact dispersion and playback clarity.
Can you stereo pair 2 x Sonos Era 300?
Yes. a pair of Era 300s deliver an even wider soundstage and more depth. You can also use a pair as rear speakers with a Sonos Arc or Sonos Beam (Gen 2).
What soundbars can you pair with Era 300 for surround sound?
As Era 300 is a multichannel rear speaker, it requires a Sonos soundbar that offers support for Dolby Atmos. Era 300 is compatible with Arc or Beam (Gen 2) but not with Playbar, Playbase, Beam (Gen 1) or Ray.
What is spatial audio?
Any audio in stereo is limited to left and right channels with elements localized within a horizontal place. Spatial audio technologies (Dolby Atmos) enable you to experience individual sounds around you in a 3D space. This gives a far more immersive and realistic listening experience.
How can you experience spatial audio on Era 300?
To experience spatial audio, you’ll need to connect to WiFi and stream a Dolby Atmos track from a supported service. For movies, TV or games, you require 2 x Era 300 speakers paired with the Arc or Beam (Gen 2). You must have a supported TV, connection via HDMI eARC and Dolby Atmos content.
