With both WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, the Sonos Move 2 offers the best of both enabling you to enjoy great Sonos sound whether you’re at home or on the go. Move from room to room or expand your system out into the garden. Use the included charging base as a dock in your home, keeping your Move 2 charged and ready to go when you are.

Move 2 also works with all other Sonos speakers and can even share bluetooth audio with the rest of your Sonos system by grouping.

Upgraded control and connectivity

Move 2 offers versatile connectivity options so you can enjoy your content, your way. Alongside WiFi and Bluetooth, stream via the Sonos S2 app, Airplay 2 and Spotify Connect. 

Control playback via the Sonos app or go hands-free with Amazon Alexa or Sonos Voice. With a far-field microphone array and advanced beamforming and multi-channel echo cancellation, your voice has never been clearer. Prefer privacy? Tap the mute button on the top panel or toggle off the mic switch to disconnect all power to the mics.

With refreshed top panel controls, play, pause, skip, replay, group or ungroup Sonos products and adjust the volume with the volume slider.

Your music, your way

Connect an external audio source

With upgraded functionality, use the USB-C line-in to connect a turntable, computer or other audio source using the Sonos Line-in adapter. Once connected, stream to any other Sonos speakers on your WiFi network. 

Alternatively, use the line-in to connect to your router with an ethernet cable and Sonos Combo Adapter.

High-fidelity stereo sound & deep bass

With a completely overhauled acoustic architecture, this second generation Move houses two angled tweeters powered by Class-D digital amplifiers for wide, spacious sound and crisp vocals. A precision-tuned woofer powered by a third Class-D amplifier delivers deep, dynamic bass and impressive mid-range vocals. 

Custom waveguides finely control the direction and dispersion of frequencies to give us a wider and more balanced soundstage. Adjust the bass, treble and loudness in the Sonos app to fine-tune your speaker.

For an even wider and more detailed soundstage, add a second Sonos Move 2 to create a stereo pair when connected to WiFi.

With a portable design and built-in carry handle, take your speaker with you on the go. Made from shock absorbent materials, Move 2 is protected against accidental drops or knocks inside or out. 

Its durable design is also IP56 rated meaning it can withstand sun, rain, snow, dirt and more and is protected from high-pressure water streams and dust.

Long-lasting 24 hour battery life

Move 2 keeps the party going longer with up to 24 hours of playback on a single charge, double the battery life of the first generation Move. To recharge, use the USB-C with any USB-PD power supply or use the included wireless charging base.

The new base features a more compact, detachable adapter making it easier to take away with you or place where you want.

With a built-in powerbank, Move 2 can be used to charge your device on the go via the USB-C port, perfect for a little power up when you’re away from home.

Enhanced performance with Automatic Trueplay Tuning

As Move 2 has been designed to be “moved” around from room to room and outdoors, it uses Automatic Trueplay Tuning technology to continually optimise sound performance for its surroundings.

Using internal mics, Move 2 measures the frequency response of the music in response to its surroundings and tunes every 60 seconds to deliver the best experience for your environment.

Move 2 reduces its idle energy consumption by more than 40% to reduce power consumption. It also comes in a responsibly designed package that uses sustainably sourced content, zero virgin plastic and is curbside recyclable.

Can you stereo pair 2 x Sonos Move 2?

While a single Sonos Move 2 will now deliver stereo sound, you can also choose to pair two Move 2 speakers to create a stereo pair, which will give you a much wider soundstage. Stereo pair is only possible when connected to WiFi though you can stream via Bluetooth when at home.

Can you pair a Move (Gen 1) with a Move 2?

You will be unable to stereo pair a Move 2 with a Move (Gen 1). This is due to the fact that one speaker would be mono and one would be stereo, which would give an unbalanced sound performance. You can group both speakers to play in sync for multi-room listening.

Can you use 2 x Sonos Move 2 as rear surround sounds to a Sonos soundbar?

You cannot use a pair of Move 2 speakers as rear speakers for a Sonos soundbar. Your options for rear surrounds are the Sonos One SL, Era 100, Era 300, or Sonos Five.

Can you use the Sonos Move 2 on the Sonos S1 app?

Move 2 requires the latest generation of the Sonos app (Sonos S2).

Will Move 2 pair with a subwoofer?

Move 2 will not pair with a Sonos subwoofer. As the speaker is designed to move around your home, pairing with a subwoofer would result in imbalanced sound or break the bond whenever you put Move 2 in a new location.
