Top Features

The built-in, high quality phono stage is based on Rega’s multi-award winning Fono Mini and can be used to connect the Planar 1 + to almost any system with a standard line input.

The Planar 1+ also boasts the same great features as the award-winning Planar 1 including the RB110 tonearm with high precision bearings to reduce friction, Rega’s Carbon Cartridge, a re-designed headshell and a 24V, very low noise, synchronous AC motor which reduces the transfer of vibrations.

What We Love

For those who are a little intimidated by the thought of setting up a turntable, the Planar 1+ truly does all the thinking for you. It’s simply a case of getting the turntable out of the box and deciding on a speaker or Amp and speakers to connect it up to.

You benefit from 2 play speed settings (33rpm and 45rpm) along with automatic bias adjustment, meaning you won’t have to spend long setting up before listening to your favourite records. 

Iconic Design

You can see the expert craftsmanship that shines through Rega’s legacy as a turntable specialist. 

The thermoset, laminated plinth is understated but stylish, available in both Gloss Black and Gloss White. Rega have removed the ‘fuss’, with just the platter and tonearm visible on the plinth & the power switch is neatly hidden.

The 23mm, higher mass, phenolic platter improves speed stability, minimises friction and ensures that the audio is true to the artist’s intention. 

Specially designed feet increase stability to reduce vibration transfer. A dust cover is included, featuring an intuitive hinged design to make it unobtrusive but protective.

Simple Set-Up

With Rega’s esteemed A2D pre-amp neatly tucked away on the underside of the plinth, you will only need one cable to connect into your speaker set-up.

A pre-amp is required to convert the analog output of the turntable into a digital signal that can be read by your speaker or amp, so removing the need to source one separately is definitely a plus.

How To Use

The Planar range can be connected to a variety of speakers and amplifiers, making it versatile to your needs. 

We love the ease of an active speaker like the Sonos Five and Marshall Stanmore II, allowing you to plug and play. You can also access other content easily through music streaming and digital radio.
