An ambient light sensor detects the brightness of the room and automatically adjusts the brightness of the LED to match, ensuring you won’t be distracted when watching a film in the dark.
Software-Driven Sound That's Matched To Your Room
The Arc features an enhanced version of Trueplay tuning and puts the speaker-tuning capability of the pros in the palm of your hand.
Trueplay works with the Sonos app to analyse your room and fine-tunes your soundbar to suit the layout and size of your room. It also fires up to the ceiling to measure the height of your room to adapt the acoustics for Atmos.
Adaptive software-driven technology automatically changes Arc’s tuning based on the other speakers you have in your home cinema setup and whether you’re listening to music or TV.
Control Your Way
Arc is setup & controlled over WiFi via the Sonos app which can be used to adjust volume, play music and more. The Arc also has an infrared (IR) receiver so it automatically syncs with your TV remote for simple, convenient control.
Compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, you can stream any audio content from your IOS devices straight to your soundbar.
Built-in Amazon Alexa & Google Assistant enable you to control the Arc using your voice. With a four far-field microphone array, Arc uses advanced beamforming and multi-channel echo cancellation to hear your commands clearly. If you want some privacy, tap the mic button on the top panel to cut the power to the microphone.

Q - What if my TV does not have eARC technology
A - Sonos Arc is compatible with standard HDMI ARC. Arc also ships with an optical to HDMI Arc converter to connect older TV’s that only have an optical output.
Q - Do I need eARC to get Dolby Atmos sound.
A - If you connect to a TV with eARC, the Dolby audio formats supported include Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, MAT, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Digital.
If you connect to a TV using ARC, the Dolby audio formats supported are dependent on your TV model and manufacturer. The TV may be capable of sending Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Digital. An ARC connection cannot support TrueHD or MAT.
If you connect to a TV using the optical adapter, the Dolby audio formats supported are dependent on your TV model and manufacturer. The TV may be capable of sending Dolby Digital. An optical connection cannot support Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, MAT, or Dolby Digital Plus.
Q - What size TV should I use with Arc
A - Sonos Arc is designed to be used with 49inch TVs and above. The total length of Arc is 1141mm.
Q - Will Arc connect with older Sonos SUB's & PLAY:1's
A- Yes Arc will work with older generation Sonos SUB's & Play:1's to form part of your surround sound system.
Q - Can I connect a Sonos Amp to pair of ceiling speakers for a better Atmos experience
A. Yes, you can wirelessly connect Amp to Arc and use the ceiling speakers as surround sound speakers. They can not be used as overhead Atmos speakers as this is achieved with the upward-firing speakers in the Sonos Arc
