In typical Rega fashion, the Fono MM MK5 prioritises both aesthetic design and electrical quality, sharing the same understated aluminium case as the Rega Neo and Fono MC amplifier for a fully cohesive look. Its RIAA equalisation is split into two stages to minimise interaction, utilising polyester capacitors in the signal path and polypropylene capacitors in the RIAA equalisation circuits.

The Rega Planar 1 is ideal for those rekindling their interest in vinyl or newcomers to records, thanks to its easy setup and precise audio handling. 

Rega Planar 2 

A step up from the entry-level Rega Planar 1 turntable. The Rega Planar 2 boasts an upgraded, modern design and an upgraded RB220 tonearm which is packed with innovative features.

Both of these turntables require an external phono stage, but this allows you the flexibility to use any model and upgrade this as you go if required. If you’d rather a more plug ‘n’ play experience, you could opt for the Rega Planar 1 Plus instead.
