Monitor Audio teased their new Creator Series back in January, and as of the 14th August 2023, their new range of Custom Installation models has finally landed.

Recognising the need for simplicity when it comes to Custom Installation, Monitor Audio has streamlined their ceiling speaker and in-wall speaker ranges, naming processes, and applications to help with purchase decisions and product selection.

What IS The Monitor Audio Creator Series?

Monitor Audio’s Creator Series is a new, tiered range of high fidelity, installer-friendly in-ceiling and in-wall speakers designed to offer customers enhanced sound, simple options, and easy installation for installers.

With a clear philosophy of finding the balance between Design and Technology, the range hits the sweet spot of high-fidelity performance and discreet aesthetics.

Offering the brand’s latest technology and upgraded components, all created with simplicity in mind, the new range has been broken down into 3 tiers, each offering enhanced performance and added functionality to give a good, better, best approach.

Tier 1

Monitor Audio’s entry range into the Creator Series offers three in-ceiling speakers in small, medium, and large sizes. Delivering a solid, reliable performance at an affordable price point.

The speakers in this Tier boast a two-way arrangement with new C-CAM mid-bass drivers and C-CAM tweeters with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide I. This arrangement guarantees improved clarity and a wider dispersion for a more impressive audio performance.

Tier 2

The step up to Tier 2 is a significant jump in performance. The speakers in this range offer even better dispersion and a more immersive audio experience for movies and music.

Still a two-way arrangement, these models step up to C-CAM tweeters with UD Waveguide II and an RST II mid-bass driver, based on those in the brand’s award-winning Silver 7G range.

This pairing is capable of recreating the complex dynamics of music and movies while taking dispersion to the next level. Tier 2 models also feature additional features, including boundary correction and high-frequency cut/boost for more flexibility in speaker placement.

Tier 3

Monitor Audio Creator Series LCR In-Wall configuration

Monitor Audio’s top of the range models in the Creator Series deliver an exceptionally large soundstage alongside plentiful depth, detail, and bass.

Tier 3 models step up to a three-way arrangement with RDT III bass drivers, based on those in the brand’s new Premium Series 3G. An IDC II coaxial mid-range driver and UD Waveguide II technology add to the upgraded audio performance, and additional features grant even more freedom in speaker placement.

Upgraded Performance

All medium and large in-ceiling speaker models in the Creator Series benefit from larger driver sizes than previous models. While the cut-out sizes remain the same, the brand have optimised the speakers to offer increased 6.5” to 7” and 8” to 9” drivers for a more impressive audio performance.

Easy Installation

A joy for installers, the Creator Series has been designed with the install process in mind.

A notable innovation for easier installation is the new Quik-Link terminal, which speeds up the whole process with a new magnetic design. Simply remove the terminal block from the speaker and pre-terminate the speaker cables, so you just have to magnetically snap and lock it into place once the speaker is fitted.

Also designed to simplify the installation process, a new Tri-Grip II feature is the next evolution of the brand’s dog-leg mechanism. This feature, engineered to make it easier and quicker to both install and extract your speaker, is now even stronger and more reliable than the previous generation.
