Sony HT-G700 Key Features

Supplied with a powerful wireless subwoofer, the HT-G700 is a fantastic all-in-one package for your surround sound entertainment. At 39cm in height, the accompanying subwoofer is capable of packing a punch with a 6.2” bass cone to bring all the bangs and crashes of the cinema to life. The soundbar features a dedicated central driver that will handle your TV’s treble and vocal performance married with two dedicated left and right drivers to bring you full 3 channel surround sound audio separation.

Adjust the sound performance to suit what you’re watching or listening to with different modes including Auto Sound, Standard Surround, Cinema, Music, Night and Voice mode. You can also fine-tune the subwoofer to suit your viewing preferences.  

Immersive, Dolby Atmos Surround Sound

To give you the feeling of overhead firing speakers, Vertical Surround Engine will position sound in a vertical space to give you a multi-directional, 3D audio experience.

The S-Force Pro Front Surround feature virtually reproduces the surround sound field to make audio feel like it’s coming at you from both sides, rather than just from the front. This allows you to use the soundbar without rear speakers for a more stream-lined home set-up. Immersive AE will also upscale regular stereo audio to a 7.1.2 format, giving you a Dolby Atmos surround sound feel no matter what you’re watching.

Easy Setup & Connection

The HT-G700 has a dedicated HDMI input which is both fully Atmos compatible and supportive of DTS:X. You’re also given use of a HDMI in meaning an external source such as a set-top box, games console or Blu-Ray player can be connected straight into the soundbar if HDMI inputs on your TV are at a premium. 

• Connect to any TV you wish with a HDMI eARC, HDMI ARC or Optical connection
• Use HDMI eARC or ARC for passthrough of Dolby Atmos content
• Any home cinema formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG content will be passed through to the Soundbar & TV with the latest 4K HDR 18Gbps pass through. 

The HT-G700 pairs automatically with its accompanying subwoofer without the need for complicated set-up or trailing wires. Just look for the green pairing light on top of the soundbar to confirm that this set-up has been completed.  

Simple Bluetooth 5.0 Connection

You also have the option to send audio wirelessly from your compatible Sony TV. Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility makes it easy to pair any audio source with your soundbar. We love this as a neat solution to your home audio that doesn’t require multiple speakers, amplifiers or cabling.  

Using Bluetooth, you can also send any music from your favourite streaming services from your mobile, tablet or PC to the HT-G700 easily.

Discreet, Stylish Design

At 980mm in width, we’d suggest the HT-G700 for TVs with a screen size of 49” or above so that the soundbar doesn’t look out of place. Both the soundbar and subwoofer come in a glossy, monochrome black finish to add a stylish element to your living room decor without drawing attention away from the screen. 

The HT-G700 is supplied with a compatible remote allowing you to change audio presets, such as Immersive AE, and use the soundbar as part of your at home TV system seamlessly. It also features an IR pass through transmitter, meaning it won’t matter if the soundbar is blocking your TV remote IR receiver.
