A signature feature of the original Debut model, the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO features a carbon fibre tonearm. Stiffer than steel tonearms that are traditionally used, the Debut Carbon EVO’s tonearm is more rigid allowing it to reproduce your favourite tunes more accurately. Thanks to this, your vinyl will sound tighter, punchier and even more detailed when played on the Pro-Ject Carbon EVO.
To match the quality of the tonearm and turntable in general, the Debut Carbon EVO is fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. This premium cartridge unlocks a high standard of connection to your records, tipped with an elliptical diamond stylus to offer excellent tracking without causing excessive wear.
Aluminium Platter & Adjustable Speed Control
Heavier than a standard platter, the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO sports an aluminium platter design that keeps the record grounded whilst also damping any resonance that you might typically find with other metal platters.The motor suspension has also been redesigned when compared to older Debut models, to offer advanced TPE damping.
The EVO sports an electronic speed control switch making it easy to swap back and forth between 33 & 45 RPM records without the need to get under the platter and adjust the belt.
An 78 RPM belt is also included in the box, but Pro-Ject recommend a 78 RPM stylus (not included) be used for this purpose.
Timeless Design
The gloss finish of the turntable’s three lovely colourways ensures that there’s a Debut Carbon EVO to suit every room. The design is minimalist, without unneeded additional components. The set up of the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO is minimal as well, allowing you to have the deck out of the box and set up within 5 minutes.
The plinth is made of dense MDF to offer low distortion and low resonance. This results in better sound damping, lower background noise and enhanced detail to offer a more lifelike sound quality. The Debut Carbon EVO’s three perfectly positioned feet are height adjustable, making it incredibly easy to get the deck perfectly level.

Our Extended Christmas Returns
We've extended our normal returns for the festive season. Any gifts bought between 27th October 2023 and 22nd January 2024 can be returned up until 31st January 2024.
How does the returns policy work?
If a gift is unwanted, customers must contact Smart Home Sounds by the 31st January 2023 via phone, email or live chat. Our team will assist you in the returns process.
Items must be fully unopened and sealed. Return postage will be at the cost of the customer.
If the unwanted item is opened, this will revert to our regular 30 days returns policy.
Faulty items will follow our standard returns procedure.
