Building On A Legacy - What's New?

The new HTM6 S2 Anniversary Edition bookshelf speaker keeps the best of what we love about the 600 range, with fine-tuned details that offer the best of audio clarity and authenticity in your surround sound system.

A new crossover has been installed in the Anniversary HTM6. This will result in improved resolution and transparency as the lower and upper audio threshold is divided more accurately and evenly for the most precise playback.

B&W's Renowned Tweeter & Driver Technology

B&W’s proven 25mm (1”) Decoupled Dome Aluminium Tweeter will handle vocal performance and any other high frequency sounds required from your surround sound set-up. The decoupled tweeter offers 38kHz breakup performance & ensures there is less risk of interfering vibrations from the mid-range drivers sat either side, giving you more precise and authentic audio.

A pair of 130mm (5”) Continuum Cone Drivers will expertly handle the mid-bass range tones of your central surround channel. To provide an even soundstage and performance, these two drivers will separate the left and right sound channels to compliment your left and right surround speakers.

How It Works

Unlike other speakers in the 600 series, the HTM6 is not designed to be used as part of a stereo pair. Rather its purpose is to compliment other speakers in a setup, such as two fronts and/or two rears, to provide a dedicated central surround channel developed to handle your vocal and front midrange playback.

When connected to a capable amplifier, the HTM6 will lend a front central sound channel to anything from a 5.1 Surround System to 7.1 Surround System dependent on your set up. 

Compact, Contemporary Design

Designed for application in a surround sound system, the HTM6 will sit neatly on any surface at only 160 x 480 x 255mm in size. The HTM6 is discreet but also contemporary, designed to blend seamlessly with both your room and other speakers in the Anniversary 600 range. 

As the 7th iteration of the iconic 600 range, the 600 S2 Anniversary Edition series has had a slight face lift to mark its 25th year in production. A Celebratory B&W Logo has been inscribed on the tweeter surround in either a light or dark finish to expertly match the colour of your speaker. The speaker components sit within a 2-way vented-box.
