Whether you’re building a home cinema, upgrading the living room, or just want something that delivers solid picture quality for everyday viewing in your bedroom, there’s a Panasonic TV that fits the bill.

Panasonic’s 2025 TV Range at a Glance

Panasonic has taken a more streamlined approach this year, with a clear “good, better, best” structure across both its LED and OLED ranges. That means fewer confusing names, easier comparisons, and better value for buyers.

Here’s how the range breaks down:

  • 3 LED Models: W61B (entry-level), W85B (mid-range QLED), and W95B (flagship Mini LED)
  • 3 OLED Models: Z80A (core OLED), Z90B (step-up with brighter panel and built-in soundbar), and Z95B (flagship)

It’s a lineup that covers everything from budget-friendly 43-inch sets to high-performance 77-inch OLEDs designed to rival LG, Sony, and Samsung’s top offerings.

Understanding Panasonic’s TV Naming System

Panasonic’s model names might look like code at first, but they’re actually quite logical once you know the formula:

  • The first letter tells you the panel type:
    • Z = OLED
    • W = LED
  • The numbers reflect the tier in the range:
    • Higher numbers = better spec
  • The final letter indicates the year:
    • A = 2024
    • B = 2025

So a Z95B is an OLED (Z) at the top of the range (95) released in 2025 (B). Easy.

Panasonic 2025 LED TVs

If you’re after something simple, practical, and great for everyday use, Panasonic’s LED TV range is a solid place to start. There are three models to choose from, each offering something a little different depending on how much you want to spend and what you want from your TV. Here’s how the lineup shapes up:

Panasonic W61B (W61A)

Panel Type: 4K UHD LED (60Hz)Available Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-inches

If you’re after a simple, affordable 4K TV that gets the basics right, the W61B is Panasonic’s entry-level LED option for 2025. It replaces the W60A and keeps things very familiar with a near-identical spec list.

The key update this year is improved power efficiency. Panasonic has swapped out one of the TV’s core components to reduce energy consumption, aiming for a drop of roughly one energy rating grade.

Who's It Right For?

Performance-wise, it’s a no-fuss, entry-level TV that nails the basics. You still get 4K HDR, decent colour performance, and streaming app support, but it’s best suited for casual viewing and light gaming.

Please Note: At the time of writing, Panasonic appears to have kept the W61A label live in some places due to the minimal spec changes.

Panasonic W85B

Panel Type: QLED (120Hz)Available Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-inches

Stepping up from the entry-level W61B, the W85B is where things get noticeably better, especially in terms of picture quality and gaming support. This 2025 model replaces both the W80A and W90A from last year and introduces QLED technology, a 120Hz panel, and a more capable smart platform.

The QLED panel adds a layer of quantum dots for richer colours and brighter visuals, especially in HDR content. It also bumps the brightness by around 30% compared to the W61B, thanks to Panasonic’s HDR Bright Panel Plus tech.

Motion performance is also a major leap forward. The 120Hz refresh rate smooths out action scenes and sports, and with VRR and FreeSync support, it’s well suited to casual gaming across all HDMI ports.

The switch from TiVo to Fire TV makes a big difference in user experience too. It’s faster, smarter, and far more intuitive to use with Alexa support, smoother app navigation, and a more premium feel overall.

Who’s It Right For?

The W85B is likely to be the sweet spot in Panasonic’s 2025 LED lineup. It strikes a strong balance between price and performance and delivers enough of a step up from the entry-level model to justify the upgrade, especially if you care about motion, brightness or smart features.

Panasonic W95B

Panel Type: Mini LED (144Hz)Available Sizes: 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-inches

If you want Panasonic’s brightest, most advanced LED TV for 2025, this is it. The W95B sits at the top of the brand’s LED range, offering serious performance upgrades over the W85B, including Mini LED backlighting, advanced local dimming, and faster refresh rates. Plus, It’s also the only LED model in the lineup that goes up to 85 inches.

The big story here is Mini LED. This technology uses much smaller light sources grouped into thousands of dimming zones, giving it far more precise brightness control than a standard LED or QLED panel. As a result, you get deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and far less blooming or halo effect around bright objects.

Panasonic has taken some of the high-end processing from its OLED range and brought it into this model. The HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, also found in the flagship Z95B OLED, helps fine-tune local dimming accuracy and overall picture balance. This means smarter brightness control, more accurate HDR tone mapping, and a noticeably cleaner, more detailed image compared to last year’s W95A.

It’s also the only LED model in the range with a 144Hz panel, which delivers smoother motion whether you're watching fast-paced films or playing games. Audio gets a boost here as well, with an upgraded 30W subwoofer built in (up from 20W last year). That means punchier bass and a fuller sound out of the box. Usseful if you're not adding a soundbar right away.

Who's It Right For?

The W95B is a great choice if you’re looking for a brighter alternative to OLED, especially in rooms with lots of natural light. It’s also ideal if you need a screen size larger than 65 inches, as it’s the only Panasonic LED model available up to 85 inches.

Panasonic 2025 OLED TVs

Looking for something a bit more cinematic? Panasonic’s OLED range brings better performance and extra features that will improve your viewing experience. There are three models here too, and each one steps things up in a different way.

Panasonic Z80B

Panel Type: OLED (120Hz)Available Sizes: 48-, 55-, 65-inches

The Z80B is Panasonic’s entry-level OLED for 2025, offering a straightforward route into OLED picture quality without stepping into flagship pricing. It replaces the Z80A, which is expected to remain available a little longer than planned. Panasonic has said that the Z80B is set to launch later in the year, following a slightly delayed rollout of the model it replaces.

This is the most affordable OLED in the range, and while it’s not the most advanced OLED model we’ve tested, it nails the fundamentals, delivering a solid OLED performance.

When it comes to motion handling, the Z80B has a 120Hz panel, so everything feels smooth and responsive. You also get Nvidia G-Sync, VRR, and ALLM for a more fluid gaming experience. Processing is handled by Panasonic’s HCX processor (not the MK II found in higher-end models), and you still get support for key HDR formats, including HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Who’s It Right For?

The Z80B is the “everyday OLED” in Panasonic’s range. It's not the brightest, but it's premium where it matters. It’s a great pick if you want OLED performance without stretching to the Z90B or Z95B.

Panasonic Z90B

Panel Type: OLED (144Hz)Available Sizes: 42-. 48-, 55-, 65-. 77-inches

The Panasonic Z90B is where we expect to see a lot of people settle in Panasonic’s 2025 OLED range. It’s positioned to compete directly with the LG C5, Sony Bravia 8, and Samsung S90F in the mid-range OLED space, offering a more streamlined spec sheet, a wide range of sizes and a more accessible price.

It brings meaningful upgrades over the entry-level Z80B, including a brighter panel, improved sound, and broader gaming support, while still delivering much of what makes the flagship Z95B great, just without the extra bells and whistles.

This model uses Panasonic’s Master OLED Pro panel, with a custom heat sink included on the 55", 65", and 77" versions. It’s also powered by the HCX 2 processor, which aims to deliver a more natural, lifelike image. You’ll also find Premium Fire TV built in, along with Amazon Prime Video Calibrated Mode and Calman AutoCal support for those looking to fine-tune picture accuracy.

The Z90B is another strong choice for gamers. It supports HFR (High Frame Rate) at up to 144Hz, as well as VRR, FreeSync, G-Sync, ALLM, and Panasonic’s Game Control Board, all to optimise gameplay responsiveness and control.

As we’ve seen before, the Z90B also features a built-in soundbar along the bottom edge, featuring three front-firing drivers and a new, more powerful 30-watt subwoofer. The system has been updated for a wider soundstage and clearer dialogue, making it a big improvement over the Z80B in terms of out-of-the-box sound.

Who’s It Right For?

If you want a brighter OLED in a wider range of sizes, with better built-in sound and full-fat gaming features, the Z90B ticks a lot of boxes. It skips a few of the premium extras found on the Z95B but holds on to the core picture quality and gaming experience, making it a very smart buy for most people.

Panasonic Z95B

Panel Type: Primary RGB Tandem OLED (144 Hz)Available Sizes: 55-, 65-, 77-inches

The Z95B is the flagship OLED in Panasonic’s 2025 range. It builds on everything found in the Z90B and takes it further with a Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, improved processing, and a better sound system. This is the model designed to go toe-to-toe with the best from LG, Sony, and Samsung.

So, what’s new? Brightness is the big one. The Z95B features a new four-stack Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, which improves efficiency and increases brightness by around 40%. Panasonic has also introduced a new custom heatsink with Thermal Flow, designed to help heat escape more efficiently. This helps the panel maintain its peak brightness for longer and reduces the risk of burn-in.

It’s powered by Panasonic’s most advanced processor, the HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, and it’s available in a 77" screen size for the first time , giving you more flexibility to suit a range of room sizes or setups.

Audio has had a big upgrade too. Panasonic has packed in a 360-degree sound system, tuned by Technics, with up-firing speakers and a more powerful 30W subwoofer built in. The result is a more immersive sound experience, with a wider soundstage and improved clarity across dialogue and other effects.

As far as gaming goes, this model supports a 144Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-Sync, VRR, and ALLM, making it ideal for fast-paced, responsive gameplay. It also features True Game Mode, which optimises picture quality specifically for gaming.

Who’s It Right For?

If you’re after Panasonic’s top-tier OLED performance, the Z95B is the one to aim for. Simple as that.
