Bowers & Wilkins PI5 In-Ear Wireless Headphones
The brand new B&W PI5 wireless in-ear headphones offer a great alternative to their flagship PI7 model, whilst still packing in many great features that we’ve come to expect from Bowers and Wilkins. Bluetooth 5.0 aptX, TWS +, Active Noise Cancellation and IP54 weather rating among other great features all make the PI5s a great in-ear headphone choice.
True Wireless Bluetooth Connectivity and Active Noise Cancellation
The latest Bluetooth 5.0 has been utilised offering approximately 40m of range in typical indoor settings. APT-X is supported to offer an impressive 16-bit audio quality, the same as a standard CD.
User Selective Noise Cancelling and ambient passthrough mode are enabled as part of the PI5’s inbuilt Active Noise Cancellation to offer users a distraction-free sound. Two internal microphones per earbud are utilised for cVc quality speakerphone functionality & ANC. The PI5s can also be used with your phone's native voice assistant service, such as Siri or Google Assistant.
Impressive Audio Quality
The B&W PI5s have been fitted with True Wireless Sound + technology to enable perfect earbud to earbud synchronisation as part of Bluetooth connection. Single 9.2mm bespoke drive units have been employed in each earbud to offer a fuller and more dynamic sound than competitors, without the in-ear headphone size being impacted. CD-Quality sound courtesy of aptX integration offers users a premium audio experience unmatched by many wireless in-ear headphone options on the market.
Battery Life
Both Wireless and USB-C Charging are supported. When fully charged, you’ll benefit from 4.5 hours of charge time built into the earbuds. On top of this, the Wireless charging case will store a massive 20 hours of additional charge time meaning you could go up to 24 hours of continuous playtime.
Quick Charge support has been factored into the PI5s’ design, offering an impressive 2 hours of battery life from just 15 minutes of charge time. We love this feature for commuters or those who travel frequently, who can charge the PI5s significantly in no time at all.
In-Ear, IP54 Rated Weatherproof Design
In your choice of Charcoal or White finish, the PI5s have been perfectly crafted to compliment B&W’s premium aesthetic. The PI5s feature a one-button touch User Interface allowing you to make voice assistant commands and other control motions.
The PI5s have been carefully considered for all-day comfort. Multiple silicon earbud size options are included in the pack so that you can find the correct fit for you and automatic wear detection means the PI5s will intuitively pick up on when audio should play.
Any athletic audio fans out there will be pleased to know the PI5s are IP54 weather-rated. Though we’d caution against dropping these in water as this rating does not protect against submersion, they’ll be perfectly fine to take out on sweaty runs or to dustier environments.
