Building On A Legacy - What's New?

The new 606 S2 Anniversary Edition bookshelf speakers keep the best of what we love about the 600 range, with fine-tuned details that offer the best of audio clarity along with its larger mid-range and bass output. 

A new crossover has also been installed in the Anniversary 606s. This will result in improved resolution and transparency as the lower and upper audio threshold is divided more accurately and evenly for the most precise playback.

Refined Tweeter For Precise Audio

Building on the legacy of the 600 series, the 606 bookshelf speakers retain B&Ws proven 25mm Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter. 

The decoupled tweeter offers 38kHz breakup performance & ensures there is less risk of interfering vibrations from the mid-range driver sat below, giving you more precise and authentic audio.

Impressive Bass Performance

Originally introduced in the iconic 800 series used in Abbey Road Studios, the 600 Series Anniversary Edition features B&W’s class-leading 165mm (6.5in) Continuum Cone. Based on the concept of optimised and controlled flexibility, the Continuum Cone will deliver an improved sound with crisper and more precise mid range. 

Featuring the largest Mid-Bass Cone in a 600 Bookshelf speaker, you will definitely experience dynamic and powerful bass when using the 606s. 

Contemporary Design

As the 7th iteration of the iconic 600 range, the 600 S2 Anniversary Edition series has had a slight face lift to mark its 25th year in production. A Celebratory B&W Logo has been inscribed on the tweeter surround in either a light or dark finish to expertly match the colour of your speaker. The speaker components sit within a 2-way vented-box.

As in the 6th generation of the 600 Series, the original grille pegs have been replaced by magnets to offer a neater solution and the port has been relocated to the back of the cabinet for a discreet finish.
