A revamped version of the well-loved Beoplay A1, the Beosound A1 (2nd Gen) offers a refined design, enhanced drivers and better overall performance making it the perfect choice for crisp and clear portable audio. 

Ideal for use at small parties, in the office and in medium-sized rooms around the home; the B&O Beosound A1 is truly versatile. The A1’s 3.5mm aluminium driver and 0.75” silk dome tweeter paired with 2x 30W Class D Amplifiers ensure the audio is punchy and surprisingly bassy for a speaker of this size. B&O advise that the Beosound A1 is suitable for use in rooms between 5-30 m².

Long Battery Life & Reliable Bluetooth Connectivity

The new A1 now supports Bluetooth 5.1 and Qualcomm’s latest aptX Adaptive codec, meaning you can stream Hi-Res audio.  Up to 2 devices can be connected simultaneously, making it easy to jump in and take over control of the music when your friend’s choices aren’t up to scratch.

At a typical listening volume of 55, the Beosound A1 offers up to 18 hours of battery meaning most users will only need to charge up the A1 every couple of weeks. Full charge will take just under 3 hours, with a handy battery LED indicator on the speaker allowing you to keep track. 

Waterproof Design

B&O are well known for their design, mixing Scandinavian simplicity with expert functionality. The circular design and smoothed edges of the polymer base protect against scratches, whilst also ensuring the speaker fits ergonomically in your hand. 

An IP67 rating certifies that the speaker is dustproof and even waterproof for up to 30 mins at a depth of 1 meter. The Beosound A1 can join you on a sandy beach trip or pool party without fear of damage. 

Available in your choice of Black Anthracite and Grey Mist, a combination of Pearl Blasted Aluminium with a Waterproof Leather strap means you don’t sacrifice on style even with the inbuilt water and dust protection.   

Crystal Clear Phone Calls

With an inbuilt three-microphone array, the Beosound A1 can be used as a portable speakerphone, allowing you to be heard up to 5m away.

Support for Microsoft Swift Pair, Apple Fast Pair and Google Fast Pair makes set-up for conference calls fast and pain-free.

Hands-Free Voice Control With Amazon Alexa

Whether changing the song, increasing the volume or finding out what the weather will be like tomorrow, Amazon Alexa integration on the Beosound A1 will give you ultimate hands-free control. 

The innovators at B&O use the wifi network connection on your phone to connect through to Alexa, meaning you can use the A1 as an Alexa device providing it is sat within Bluetooth range of your phone that is connected to wifi.

Thanks to the long range of Bluetooth 5.1, you can activate Alexa on the A1’s far-field microphones up to 5m away from the phone or device it’s tethered to.
