LG's 2025 TV Range at a Glance

LG’s 2025 TV range is more structured than ever, with a clear performance hierarchy and cleaner model separation. While the full lineup includes UHD and NanoCell models aimed at everyday use, this guide focuses on the more advanced QNED and OLED ranges where the biggest tech upgrades and most exciting features live.
Here's how the range breaks down:
- UHD & Nanocell Models
- 3 QNED Models: QNED80, QNED82, QNED84
- 5 QNED evo Models: QNED85, QNED86, QNED87, QNED93, QNED9M
- 4 OLED Models: B5, C5, G5, M5
It’s a lineup that covers everything from budget-friendly 43-inch sets to high-performance 77-inch OLEDs designed to rival Sony, Panasonic and Samsung’s top offerings.
Understanding LG's TV Naming System
LG’s TV model names might look like a random string of letters and numbers, but they’re actually packed with useful information (once you know how to decode them). The structure differs slightly between QNED and OLED models, so here’s a quick breakdown of each:

-
65 – Screen size in inches (measured diagonally)
-
QNED – Panel type: QNED = LG’s advanced LED range
-
87 – Series number: higher numbers generally mean better specs
-
A – Model year: ‘A’ = 2025, ‘Z’ = 2024
-
6B – Regional or design variation (not usually important to buyers)
This example tells us we’re looking at a 65-inch QNED87 model, released in 2025.
-
OLED – Panel type (self-lit pixels, no backlight)
-
77 – Screen size in inches
-
C – Series designation (C = mid-range, G = flagship, etc.)
-
5 – Model year: ‘5’ = 2025, ‘4’ = 2024
-
6LB – Regional/design suffix (can vary by retailer or finish)
So this is a 77-inch C5 OLED, launched in 2025. Simple.
LG's 2025 QNED TVs
For those who aren’t familiar, QNED is LG’s name for their more advanced LED TVs, offering a step up from their basic UHD and NanoCell models.
In the 2025 lineup, LG’s QNEDs have undergone a pretty big change. In previous years, QNED TVs used a combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies to enhance colour. This year, LG has replaced the use of Quantum Dot technology with a new system called Dynamic QNED Colour. This tech still delivers bright, vibrant colours, but uses a more efficient method behind the scenes.
As you move up the QNED range, standard LED backlighting is replaced by Mini LED, which gives far more precise control over brightness and contrast with thousands of smaller LEDs.
In general, LG’s QNEDs are a solid step up from standard LED TVs, but picture quality does vary depending on the model you choose.

LG QNED80

Panel Type: Edge-lit LED | Available Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-, 86-inches |
The QNED80 is the entry point to LG’s QNED lineup for 2025. It’s an edge-lit LED TV with local dimming, meaning the backlighting comes from rows of LEDs positioned around the edge of the screen rather than directly behind it.
It runs on LG’s Alpha 7 AI Processor Gen 8, which is essentially the brain behind the TV. That means smooth navigation, solid image upscaling, and decent AI-driven performance for both picture and sound.
This model is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate, which is perfectly fine for casual viewing and everyday content but won’t be the best choice for fast-paced gaming or high-frame-rate content.
What stands out is the wide range of screen sizes available, from 43 inches all the way up to 86 inches, giving buyers plenty of flexibility. Overall, the QNED80 is a solid step up from LG’s standard LCD and NanoCell TVs, making it a good entry-level option for buyers looking to improve on the basics without stretching the budget.

LG QNED82 & LG QNED84

Panel Type: Edge-lit LED | Available Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-, 86-inches |
Panel Type: Edge-lit LED | Available Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-inches |
The QNED82 and QNED84 are essentially identical to the QNED80 in terms of spec and performance. All three models share the same edge-lit LED panel, local dimming, Alpha 7 AI Processor Gen 8, and 60Hz refresh rate. Picture quality, processing, and overall capabilities are the same across the board.
The only differences are in design. The QNED82 features a Dark Titan Silver stand and a more modern Ashed Blue frame, while the QNED84 opts for a Charcoal Black stand and frame for a slightly more understated look (See below).

On larger screen sizes, the QNED84 also comes with different feet, designed to better accommodate a soundbar by providing more clearance beneath the display. If you’re choosing between them, it really just comes down to which design fits your setup best.

LG QNED85

Panel Type: Mini LED | Available Sizes: 55-, 65-, 75-, 86-inches (100-inch US) |
The QNED85 is where LG’s QNED lineup starts to take a noticeable step up in performance. It’s the first model in the range to feature Mini LED backlighting, introducing thousands of smaller LEDs and significantly more local dimming zones for better contrast, deeper blacks, and reduced blooming compared to the edge-lit models below it.
It’s also where we first see the QNED evo branding. While “evo” originally appeared on LG’s OLEDs, in 2025 it also applies to higher-end QNEDs. This marks out models with enhanced specs, smarter processing, and upgraded panel technology.
The QNED85 uses Advanced Local Dimming Pro to manage all those LEDs more precisely, resulting in a more dynamic image with higher peak brightness. It’s still an edge-lit Mini LED design, so it won’t match OLED or full-array systems for black level precision, but it is a major improvement over standard LED.
You also get a faster 120Hz panel, which means smoother motion during sports, films, and fast-paced content. For gamers, some sizes support up to 144Hz VRR, along with features like AMD FreeSync, ALLM, and Dolby Vision for gaming.
It’s powered by LG’s new Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 2, which brings AI Picture Pro, AI Sound Pro, and improved upscaling and motion handling compared to the Alpha 7 used in lower-tier models.
If you’re looking for a big screen experience, this is the first QNED model in the range to go up to 100 inches, making it one of the most affordable ways to get a truly cinematic screen size. However, it's worth noting that this model isn't available in the UK.

LG QNED86

Panel Type: Mini LED | Available Sizes: 55-, 65-, 75-, 86-, 100-inches |
The QNED86 is extremely similar to the QNED85 in terms of core features and picture performance. Both models use Mini LED backlighting, run on the Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 2, and offer 120Hz refresh rates with strong gaming support.
The main difference between the two comes down to design and stand type. While the QNED85 features feet positioned at either end of the screen, the QNED86 swaps these for a central pedestal stand.
This design shift won’t affect performance, but it could impact your setup, especially if you're planning to use a soundbar or have limited space on your TV unit.
In terms of panel and spec, the two are effectively interchangeable. So your decision here really comes down to screen size availability and the physical footprint that works best for your space.

LG QNED87

Panel Type: Mini LED | Available Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-inches |
The QNED87 sits alongside the QNED85 and QNED86 in LG’s 2025 QNED evo lineup, and just like those models, it features Mini LED backlighting, Advanced Local Dimming Pro, and runs on the Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 2.
In terms of performance and spec, it’s nearly identical to the QNED85 and 86 but it features a visibly more premium design. It boasts LG's more refined ultra-thin “airslim” build , giving it a sleeker profile than the 85 or 86. It also comes with a central pedestal stand, though the exact shape and finish vary slightly depending on screen size.
Unlike the 85 and 86, the QNED87 doesn’t go beyond 75 inches, but it’s a strong choice for those looking for a premium-looking Mini LED TV in a smaller size range, especially if design is a key priority in your setup.

LG QNED93

Panel Type: Mini LED | Available Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-inches |
The QNED93 is where we see another level up in performance and it’s the model to look at if you want a top-tier Mini LED TV with advanced AI processing and full gaming support.
The big upgrade here is the move to Full Array Mini LED backlighting with Precision Dimming Pro. That means thousands of tiny LEDs are spread evenly across the entire panel, not just around the edges. This gives you the full power of Mini LED tech, including deeper blacks, more consistent brightness in dark scenes and HDR content, and significantly reduced blooming around bright objects.
The QNED93 still uses LG’s Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 2, and you get all the premium features expected at this level, from Dolby Vision and HDR10, to 4K gaming at 144Hz, VRR, ALLM, and now G-Sync compatibility, which is a big bonus for PC gamers.
While the rest of the QNED evo models use LG’s Dynamic QNED Colour, the QNED93 steps up to Dynamic QNED Colour Pro, which improves colour luminance and saturation.
It comes in a wide range of sizes from 55 inches to 85 inches, and features a premium slim-bezel design along with a stylish central pedestal stand. This is LG’s top QNED evo model, sitting just below the OLED range and offering a fantastic all-round experience for both movies and gaming.

LG QNED9M

Panel Type: Mini LED | Available Sizes: 65-, 75-, 86-inches |
The final model in the QNED lineup is the QNED9M, and sits in a unique category, being aimed at those of you looking for a premium alternative to OLED with wireless capabilities.
The QNED9M is LG’s first wireless QNED TV, featuring a Zero Connect Box which can send video and audio to the screen at up to 4K 144Hz, with no need for extra cables. You only need to plug in the power, and the box can sit up to 10 metres away for a clean, cable-free look.
In terms of panel tech, the QNED9M is more similar to the QNED87. It is an edge-lit Mini LED TV, rather than full array, and it uses Dynamic QNED Colour rather than the “Pro” version found on the QNED93.
However, it does step up to the Alpha 9 AI Processor, offering improved upscaling, better motion handling, and the latest AI Picture and AI Sound features for a more refined viewing experience overall.
The price point won’t be for everyone, and this model is limited to 65-, 75- and 86-inch screen sizes, but if you’re looking for a wireless setup without compromising on screen size, design or high refresh gaming, the QNED9M is well worth a look.

LG's 2025 OLED TVs
So far we’ve covered LG’s QNED range, but what if you’re chasing true cinematic performance, pixel-perfect contrast, and some of the best visuals on any screen? That’s where OLED comes in.
Unlike LED or Mini LED TVs, which rely on a backlight, OLED panels are self-lit. Each pixel produces its own light, which means black pixels can turn off entirely. The result is true black levels, infinite contrast, and a more immersive, detail-rich image that doesn’t suffer from blooming or light bleed.
In 2025, LG’s OLED range continues to push forward. You’ve still got familiar names like the B-, C- and G-series, but this year’s updates bring smarter AI processing, new brightness-boosting panel tech, and more.
Whether you're watching films in a dark room, gaming competitively, or just want the best picture you can get from a TV, LG's OLED range has something to offer at nearly every level. Let’s take a closer look at what each one brings to the table...

LG B5

Panel Type: WOLED | Available Sizes: 48-, 55-, 65-, 77-, 83-inches |
The B5 is your gateway into LG’s OLED lineup, giving you that cinematic OLED picture quality at a more accessible price point. It’s an entry-level OLED, ideal for anyone on a tighter budget looking to step into the OLED world.
It uses a standard WOLED panel, so there’s no extra brightness tech like MLA or QD-OLED here, but it still delivers impressive contrast and detail thanks to OLED’s ability to turn off individual pixels.
The B5 is powered by LG’s Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 2 and comes with a 120Hz panel, Dolby Vision, and all the core features you’d expect from a modern OLED.
It doesn’t have the more advanced enhancements found in the higher-end models, but for many people, this is all the OLED they’ll need.

LG C5

Panel Type: WOLED | Available Sizes: 42-, 48-, 55-, 65-, 77-, 83-inches |
The step up to the C5 takes us into OLED evo territory. The “evo” label signals a significant bump in performance, and LG’s 2025 OLED evo models come with TÜV Rheinland’s “Quick Stability and Image Quality” certification, meaning they stabilise brightness and colour faster than ever.
You also get a more advanced version of LG’s Filmmaker Mode, their most accurate picture setting, now with Ambient Light Compensation. On top of that, the C5 is the first TV series to be certified with VESA’s ClearMR 10000, confirming exceptional motion clarity, even during fast-paced content.
The C5 is the latest in LG’s multi-year award-winning C Series, known for being a brilliant all-rounder. It sits in the middle of LG’s OLED lineup, offering a great balance between performance and price, and is available in a wide range of screen sizes from 42 inches all the way up to 83 inches.
This model still uses a standard WOLED panel, so you won’t find MLA tech or a heatsink here. However, it upgrades to the Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen 8, which unlocks a number of improvements including AI Super Upscaling, AI Picture Pro, AI Sound Pro, Dynamic Sound Booster, and OLED Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, which analyses every frame to enhance resolution, brightness, depth, and clarity.
It also introduces LG’s Brightness Booster, which offers a noticeable increase in brightness over the B5.
The C5 is also a fantastic choice for gamers, with four HDMI 2.1 ports, support for 4K at 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, and 144Hz on PC. All key HDR formats are supported including Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10. (Worth noting that LG TVs do not support HDR10+.)
One thing to keep in mind is that there are multiple variants of the C5, with different letters and numbers at the end of the model name. Don’t worry, the core specs and features are the same across all C5 models. The differences are minor and mostly relate to regional or design variations.

LG G5

Panel Type: Primary RGB Tandem OLED | Available Sizes: 48-, 55-, 65-, 77-, 83-, 97-inches |
The LG G5 is the flagship OLED in the lineup and features the biggest upgrades, making it a top choice for home cinema fans, high-end gamers, and anyone chasing premium performance.
This year, the G5 is available in more sizes than ever before, starting at 48 inches and going all the way up to 97 inches. Just keep in mind that some of the very small or very large sizes may have slight spec differences.
The first major change is the move to LG’s most powerful processor yet, the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 2. It uses deep learning to refine lower-quality content and improves clarity, detail, and motion handling. It also supports Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, which adjusts HDR performance scene by scene. LG has added a new light boosting algorithm and light control architecture, which work alongside Brightness Booster Ultimate to deliver up to three times the brightness of the B5.
The biggest headline change, though, is the switch to LG’s brand new Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, also called 4-stack OLED. This panel uses four organic layers, including two blue, one red, and one green, to improve both brightness and colour volume. It can hit up to 40 percent more brightness than last year’s G4 and is also more energy efficient, with a longer expected panel lifespan.
The G5 continues LG’s gallery design, making it a sleek and stylish option for wall mounting. In the 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, you now have the choice between a wall mount or stand. When wall-mounted, the TV sits extremely close to the wall for a clean, built-in look.
Gamers also get an upgrade. The G5 supports everything found on the C5 but adds refresh rates up to 165Hz, making it one of the best TVs available for both console and PC gaming.
If you’re choosing between the C5 and the G5, both are excellent. But the G5 takes things further in almost every area, especially if you want that extra level of performance, brightness, and visual wow factor.

LG M5

Panel Type: Primary RGB Tandem OLED | Available Sizes: 65-, 77-, 83-, 97-inches |
The final model in LG’s 2025 OLED lineup is the M5, LG’s first OLED TV capable of transferring audio and video wirelessly, up to 4K 144Hz, with no latency and no loss in quality.
That means you can drop the wires, aside from power, and place the Zero Connect Box wherever works best in your space, up to 10 metres away. It makes connecting other devices easier too, especially in wall-mounted setups or minimalist environments.
The M5 is essentially a G5 with wireless technology. It features the same 4-stack Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel and Brightness Booster Ultimate, so you can expect the same super bright performance and vibrant colour output. It also comes with LG’s flagship Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 2, delivering exceptional upscaling, motion clarity, and AI-powered picture and sound enhancements.
For gamers, the M5 is fully loaded. It supports G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, VRR, and 144Hz refresh rates, making it just as capable as some of LG’s best wired OLEDs. Plus, it also boasts LG's sleek One Wall design, giving you a clean and premium aesthetic.
Naturally, with the combination of advanced tech and wireless convenience, this model sits at the higher end of the price spectrum. But if you’ve got the budget and care about both design and next-generation performance, the M5 is well worth considering.
