HUGE news! We’ve officially opened the doors to our brand-new flagship Smart Home Sounds Experience Store in Cheltenham, and what an opening we had!

Bringing the Smart Home Sounds Experience to Life

After years of building an incredible online community through our reviews, buying guides, and YouTube channel, we wanted to take things one step further.

So, we’ve brought the Smart Home Sounds energy into a physical space. A destination for great entertainment designed to be explored, not just shopped.

This isn’t your average tech store. It’s a hands-on playground for anyone who loves music, movies, and home entertainment. Visitors can step into beautifully styled living spaces, try the latest TVs and audio products, and even experience something extra special in our Luxury Listening Room.

With a vinyl concession stacked with favourites, a coffee bar, and even a racing simulator, the store has something for everyone. Whether you’re spending £20 or £20,000, you’ll find the same expert advice, enthusiasm, and premium experience we’re known for online.

A New Kind of Retail Experience

Our Experience Store brings together leading brands like Sonos, Sony, LG, Samsung, Devialet and more, all showcased in spaces that feel as inspiring as they are welcoming. You can expect friendly Tech Guides, immersive demo zones, and real-world rooms that show what’s possible in your home.

The store officially opened with a Grand Opening Weekend on 8th–9th November 2025, packed with live demos, giveaways, and exclusive offers, and it’s safe to say the response blew us away.

Over 300 visitors joined us across the opening weekend, with guests travelling from as far as three hours away to check out Cheltenham’s newest hub for great entertainment.

Sales exceeded expectations, and the feedback has been amazing — visitors described the space as “unbelievable,” “warm and welcoming,” and “so well laid out – modern, with everything from soundbars and headphones to TVs and great coffee.”

Our in-store café, Coffee Beats Repeat, quickly became the heart of the action, with coffee flowing and conversation buzzing. One guest summed it up perfectly:

“Showroom looks great and super coffee too! We really enjoyed our visit – even though my bank account took a beating!”

Visitors loved exploring the diversity of experiences on offer from listening to a £30 JBL speaker to stepping into a room with a £70,000 Sonus Faber setup.

It’s a perfect reflection of what Smart Home Sounds is all about: making high-quality sound accessible to everyone, no matter the budget.

Our Highlights From the Weekend

There were plenty of standout moments throughout the weekend:

A surprise visit from Joe Marler, England rugby star and The Traitors favourite, who popped in to explore the immersive demo spaces.
A live DJ set from our very own Elliott from the marketing team, streamed on YouTube to bring the celebrations to fans at home.
Exclusive Sonus Faber Amati demo sessions, with performances so powerful they moved some listeners to tears.
A Sonus Faber Omnia giveaway worth £1,599, plus competitions on the store’s racing simulator for visitors to test their reflexes and win prizes.

Rather than a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, our entire SHS team came together to mark the milestone, celebrating the design, build, and passion that brought this vision to life.
