Samsung S95H OLED: What’s New for 2026?

Samsung has officially unveiled its new flagship OLED TV for 2026, the Samsung S95H and it’s one of the most interesting OLED launches we’ve seen from the brand in years.

Revealed at CES 2026, the S95H replaces last year’s S95F and marks a clear shift in Samsung’s OLED strategy. There’s a brighter new QD-OLED panel, a completely redesigned chassis and, for the first time on an OLED, Art Mode, borrowing ideas from Samsung’s hugely popular Frame and Frame Pro TVs.

We've had an early look at the S95H at CES and while we’ll be holding final judgement until we can test it properly in our studio, here’s everything you need to know so far.

Samsung S95H Screen Sizes: Introducing a New 48-Inch Model

Samsung is launching the S95H in 55, 65, 77 and 83-inch sizes, with the addition of a brand-new 48-inch model.

Samsung hasn’t yet confirmed whether the 48-inch version will be available in every region, but if it does land in the UK, it could be a big win. A compact OLED with flagship performance is ideal for smaller living rooms, bedrooms, or high-end gaming setups where you don’t want to sacrifice picture quality.

We’ll update this as soon as UK availability is confirmed!

Samsung S95H: Updated QD-OLED Panel

Brightness is once again one of the S95H’s headline upgrades.

Samsung is using its latest-generation QD-OLED panel, with claimed brightness improvements of around 35% over last year’s S95F. That puts peak brightness at roughly 2,700 nits in a 10% window, compared to around 2,000 nits on the S95F, which, let's not forget, was already one of the brightest OLED TVs available.

From what we saw at CES, the increase is noticeable, especially in HDR highlights. That said, Samsung hasn’t yet confirmed whether all screen sizes will use QD-OLED. Last year, the 83-inch model switched to WOLED and it’s still unclear whether the 48-inch or 83-inch S95H models will follow the same approach.

As soon as Samsung locks this in, we’ll update this article.

Samsung S95H: A Bold New Design

One of the biggest changes for the Samsung S95H is the design.

Instead of the ultra-thin OLED look of previous S95 models, the S95H adopts a picture-frame-style design, with a metal bezel that sits behind the panel. Love it or hate it, there’s no denying it’s a departure from Samsung’s usual OLED aesthetic.

What’s clever is that this metal frame doubles as a flush wall mount and it’s included in the box. Mount the S95H on the wall and it sits completely flat, much like Samsung’s Frame TVs.

This shift in design also goes hand-in-hand with another notable change for 2026. Samsung has dropped the One Connect box as standard on the S95H, marking a big rethink in how the TV is designed to be installed and used. We’ll dive into what’s replaced it and why it could actually be a positive move, a little further down.

Furthermore, Samsung has also hinted at optional interchangeable bezels, sold separately, although pricing hasn’t been confirmed yet. It’s a very lifestyle-focused move and one that clearly ties into the next big upgrade.

As for our take? We’re not completely sold on the design just yet. We’ve always preferred to maximise screen space, so the move back towards a thicker bezel is an interesting one. We’re also keen to see how this design works when the TV is placed on a stand rather than wall-mounted. That’s something we’ll be digging into properly once we get the S95H into the studio for testing.

Art Mode Comes to OLED for the First Time

For the first time ever, Samsung is also bringing Art Mode to an OLED TV.

Combined with the improved Glare-Free Matte coating, the S95H is designed to look just as good when it’s off as it does when it’s on. Rather than feeling like an OLED with lifestyle features bolted on, the S95H feels purpose-built around that concept.

This is a big shift for Samsung’s OLED range and puts the S95H in direct competition with gallery-style TVs like LG’s G-series and their very own Frame and Frame Pro models. We’re particularly interested to see how the matte coating performs in real-world lighting conditions once we can test it properly.

Samsung S95H Connectivity: The End of One Connect… or Is It?

Samsung has also made a big change to how the S95H handles connectivity and it’s one that will divide opinion.

For 2026, the One Connect box is no longer included as standard. Instead, all connections are built directly into the TV itself in a more traditional setup. If you’ve loved the clean, cable-free look that One Connect offered on previous flagship Samsung TVs, this might initially feel like a step backwards.

However, Samsung hasn’t scrapped One Connect entirely. It’s now available as an optional extra and this time around it’s gone wireless.

Rather than using a single thick cable, the new One Connect system connects via a compact, card-style dongle. Even more interestingly, Samsung has confirmed that if you do opt for the wireless One Connect box, you can use both the HDMI ports on the TV and the ports on the box at the same time. That opens the door to something pretty unique.

With the One Connect box connected, the S95H can now offer up to eight HDMI 2.1 ports in total, all capable of 4K at up to 165Hz with support for VRR and ALLM across the board.

For gamers running multiple consoles and PCs or for home cinema setups packed with sources, this could be a real game-changer assuming the wireless connection proves solid in real-world use!

Samsung S95H Gaming Performance: Serious Specs for Console and PC Gamers

As for gaming performance itself, the S95H looks set to continue Samsung’s strong track record. Support for 4K at 165Hz, alongside VRR and ALLM, makes it one of the most future-proof gaming TVs we’ve seen announced so far. Paired with Samsung’s low input lag and broad HDMI 2.1 support, the S95H is shaping up to be a serious option for next-gen console and PC gaming.

We’ll be putting all of this to the test once the S95H arrives in the Smart Home Sounds studio, including how well the wireless One Connect box performs in day-to-day use. This section will be updated with real-world results as soon as we’ve had hands-on time with the TV.

Pricing & Release Date (What We Know So Far)

Samsung hasn’t confirmed pricing yet, but for context:

  • The 65-inch S95F launched at £3,399

With a brighter panel, new design and added lifestyle features, it’s hard to imagine the S95H coming in cheaper than that. Best case, Samsung holds pricing steady. Worst case, there’s a small increase.

We’ll update you guys as soon as official UK pricing and availability are announced.

Early Verdict: Who Is the Samsung S95H Right For?

Based on our first impressions and what we've seen come out at CES 2026, the Samsung S95H is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious OLED TVs of the year.

It won’t be for everyone. If you prefer a minimal, bezel-less design, this new picture-frame approach may not be your cup of tea. But if you want flagship OLED performance, cutting-edge gaming features and a TV that blends into your living space when it’s not in use, the S95H could be something very special.

We’ll be bringing the Samsung S95H into our Cheltenham store as soon as possible for a full hands-on review, side-by-side comparisons and in-store demos. In the meantime, we’ll keep this page updated with the latest news as we learn more.
